Running Bio:
Sam has been running since 2009 and is back into competitive training and racing after a 2 year break whilst coaching at the college level. The 5k and 10k are his favorite racing distances along with cross country which he hopes to return to as he embarks on a new chapter of his running career. The British runner’s career has taken him all over the world and he is excited to get back into the sport he loves with the KC Smoke.
Goals:
Sam joins the KC Smoke with the goal of reigniting his running career through the community in Kansas City. Being proudly British, Sam has his eyes on qualifying for the British Marathon Championships in London in the coming years as he chases a debut over 26.2 miles. He also hopes to compete at the USATF Club Cross Champs in the future and to have a crack at setting some lifetime bests over longer distances.
