Iowa State Open 2012

Iowa State is always a great place to race indoor.  Four KC Smoke athletes made the trek north to Ames, IA to race in the IOWA State open held over the weekend.  Aaron Hohn, 27, coming off his Houston Half Marathon PR managed a 15:48.57 in the 5000m Friday evening.  On Saturday Aaron Davidon, 27, lowered his mile PR AGAIN with 4:23.59 placing 3rd in his heat.  Randy Wasinger, 36, continued to race strong in the 800m placing 3rd in his heat with 1:58.10.  Ron Kochanowicz, 40, after not racing for three months due to tearing his plantar fascia made his 2012 indoor debut by placing 3rd in his mile heat with 4:40.84.  This qualified him to race in the Master’s Mile at the NB Indoor Grand Prix to be held in Boston, MA Feb 4th.
