Personal Bio:
I have been running since the 6th grade and enjoyed cross country and track & field from middle school into high school. I then decided to continue my running at the college level and attended William Jewell College in Liberty, MO where I competed in cross country and track & field with an emphasis in the pentathlon and heptathlon. After graduating I signed up for my first marathon on a whim and completed the Chicago marathon in 2007 and 2008. I got more serious with my training and ran the Rock n’ Roll Marathon in Phoenix in 2011 and got my first BQ. After taking the next several years easier and mostly off of racing while we grew our family, I was ready in 2019 to get back into the racing game! I BQ’d for the second time at the KC Marathon in 2019 and finally made it to Boston to run in 2021. Through the training of KC Endurance I have been able to get fully back into racing and attained new lifetime PRs in the mile, 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon. I’ll be returning to the Chicago Marathon this fall and hoping for a new PR!
Goals:
I want to focus on nutrition and recovery in order to continue to genuinely love the sport of running! I want to run a sub 3:15 marathon, sub 1:30 half marathon and sub 40 min 10k. Lastly I hope to model dedication and working hard to achieve your goals for my 3 kids to show them the joy achievement can bring!
