Running has been a hidden calling of mine since I was little. Growing up, I participated in sports that did not involve endless miles full of endurance. However, I was always told I would be good at such sports. Things took a 180 degree turn when I got to high school. Upon joining the cross country team only to get fit for basketball, I fell in love with running and ended up permanently trading in my court shoes for track spikes. Through the endless miles, running has brought me a lot of joy along with some tears, pain and stress, but also a sense of accomplishment. When I run, I have two continual goals – to sense the pleasure of God’s glory and to keep getting faster. Both of which I strive to accomplish daily.
