Personal Bio:

I’ve been running since childhood, starting with AAU track and continuing through middle and high school in cross country and track. I was recruited by Emporia State for track, but frequent injuries kept me from continuing competitively. After college, I ran casually and raced off and on between raising three boys and building my career. Took me a while to figure out consistency and nutrition were key so have struggled through lots of injuries along the way.

In the last few years, I’ve finally found the right balance of training and nutrition to stay healthy and push my limits. Now at age 40, I’m focused on chasing new personal bests and staying injury-free. I work as Director of Support & Enrollment at benefitbay, a health insurance startup. When I’m not running, I’m staying busy with my husband Ryan, our three sons who are all in sports and our two golden retrievers.

My current goals are to continue to be able to achieve personal bests even as I get older and to qualify for Boston.
