I started getting serious about running in 2010 after one of my friends bet me I couldn’t complete a half-marathon in under 1:30, I ended up missing the mark by 7 seconds. After that I started training with the City of Fountains Athletic club and haven’t stopped training since. I never ran in high school or college so I’ve had to learn as I go. I ran my first marathon in October 2016 after completing the Pikes Peak Ascent in August. My aim is to take a minute off my 10k and 2 minutes off my half marathon.
