Busy Weekend On the Track and On the Road

Members of the Kansas City Smoke were very active over the weekend with some exciting results to report.

CMU Invite – Fayette, MO
Kevin Miller (50), Ron Kochanowicz (40) and Randy Wasinger (36) got things started in the 1500m. Randy placed 2nd with a time of 4:04, followed by Kevin in 12th place at 4:12.77 and a huge PR, and Ron in 18th out of 43 at 4:20.11.

Mike Hernandez then lit up the track in the 800m for the first time this season finishing 2nd in come-from-behind fashion in a blazing time of 1:53.32. His race can be seen here: http://youtu.be/Yct-N0uZH-8

Kevin doubled up and also ran the 800m finishing in 2:08.34, only one second off his M50 national indoor championship performance live sex on stage from last month. Kevin's race can be seen here: http://youtu.be/7HL-8QdGlnE

Finally, Liz Kyger (52) competed in the 5000m with a big PR of 21:36.36.

Northwest Open – Maryville, MO
David Franz made the trip to Maryville on Saturday to compete in honor of a fallen teammate (Waylon Martensen) who was tragically killed in a car accident 2 years ago. David placed 13th with a time of 4:26.34

Road Races
Keith Long (54) placed 3rd overall and won the Masters division in Wichita's Easter Sun Run on Saturday. Keith's time of 33:28 was a Masters PR and age-graded an off-the-charts 94.77%!

Charles Janssen brought home a victory for the Smoke in Overland Park's Easter Egg 5k with a time of 16:05.3

Finally, Eric Graham and Tony Estes (55) placed 4th and 5th in Shawnee's Run For Mercy with times of 16:47 and 17:40, respectively.
